Our Story

BikeRental.cc was founded by Matthew Whitmore, a lifelong bike enthusiast with nearly two decades of experience in the cycling industry. His journey began at just 17 when he launched his first business importing premium bike components. Since then, he has built a career spanning bike distribution, retail management, and the global bike rental market, gaining deep expertise in every aspect of the industry.

Having previously grown a bike rental business to 46 cities worldwide while living in New York, Matthew saw firsthand the demand for high-quality rental bikes that deliver a premium riding experience. With that vision in mind, he created BikeRental.cc—a service designed for cyclists who want the very best when riding in a new city, without the hassle of traveling with their own bike.
