BikeRental.cc Supports Over 90 Athletes at the Wollongong World Triathlon Championships
The 2025 Wollongong World Triathlon Championships marked a milestone event for BikeRental.cc, as we supported more than 90 athletes from around the world with premium road and triathlon bikes.
The scale of this event was unlike anything we had undertaken before. Our team worked across the country in the lead-up, traveling to Canberra and Brisbane to collect parts of our fleet and prepare for one of the largest triathlon events ever hosted in Australia.
For the championships, we built an additional 40 brand-new Winspace bikes and launched the first major production of 12 triathlon bikes from The Carbon Project, alongside our existing fleet of Chapter2 performance road bikes. Every bike was prepared, tuned, and delivered to athletes competing across multiple age groups and elite categories.
Behind the scenes, this operation was made possible by an incredible team effort. Matt Whitmore and Mark Kershaw managed on-site logistics throughout the week in Wollongong, while Jasper and Mitch from our Sydney headquarters were busy preparing, transporting, and maintaining bikes around the clock.
A special mention goes to Mark Kershaw, who traveled from Adelaide to Sydney to bring our South Australian fleet and support the event’s logistics, and to Anderson Fernandes, who spent weeks building and assembling all the new bikes before they hit the road.
In addition to our race support, BikeRental.cc was proud to partner with AusTriathlon to deliver a week-long virtual cycling activation in the event village. The setup featured two smart bikes where visitors, athletes, and fans could ride a virtual course and experience the thrill of indoor cycling technology firsthand.
This event showcased the dedication, precision, and passion of our team, as well as our ongoing mission to make high-performance cycling accessible for athletes and traveling cyclists.
BikeRental.cc continues to focus on Road, Gravel, and Triathlon bikes, offering premium rentals and event support services in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Wollongong, and Singapore, with Tokyo launching soon.
