Pick up the bike from our Odowara location which is just 26 minutes on the bullet train from Central Tokyo Station and the gateway to the best riding near Tokyo.  Explore the mountains around Lake Ashi and ride the world famous routes around Mt Fuji.

How it works

  • 1. Choose the time to pick up the bike from our Odawara location

    Bikes can be picked up at 9am or 4pm from our Odawara location which is 10min walk from Odawara Train Station.

    You can get to Odawara on a bullet train from Central Tokyo Station in less than 30min.

  • 2. Choose your dates and bike in the correct size

    Select the dates you would like to rent the bike which will show the available bikes. See a size guide in the drop down below to ensure you choose the correct bike size.

  • 3. Choose your accessories

    - Select your preferred pedal or choose BYO if you will bring your own.

    - Select optional paid accessories (scroll right) including a GPS Bike Computer and Bike Damage Cover.

    - In the final step specify whether you want optional free accessories (helmet, lights, saddle bag).

Bike Size Guide

  • Extra Small (XS): 156 – 166 cm (5'1" – 5'6")
  • Small (S): 163 – 174 cm (5'4" – 5'9")
  • Medium (M): 171 – 182 cm (5'7" – 6'0")
  • Large (L): 179 – 189 cm (5'10" – 6'3")
  • Extra Large (XL): 185 – 195 cm (6'0" – 6'5")

Measuring Saddle Height

In addition to you selecting the correct bike size, we will require your saddle height.

Measure the distance in centimetres between the centre of your crankset and the top of your saddle on your current bike, in the middle of the saddle rails.

Rental Inclusions

The following are included with your rental:

  1. Helmet: Small, Medium, Large or Bring Your Own.
  2. Pedals: Your choice of; Shimano SPD-SL Road, Shimano SP-MTB, Look Keo, Time Iclic, Speedplay, Flat pedals or Bring Your Own.
  3. Bottle Cages: (x2)
  4. Saddle Bag: Includes; Spare Tube, Tyre Levers, Co2 Canister and Co2 Inflator.
  5. Lights: We can provide both front & Rear Lights
  6. Computer Mount: Garmin or Wahoo Mounts Available.

Rental Pricing

The day rate reduces the longer the rental period.

  • 1 Day - ¥22,000 per day
  • 2 Days - ¥16,000 per day
  • 3 Days - ¥15,000 per day
  • 4 Days - ¥14,000 per day
  • 5 Days - ¥13,000 per day
  • 6 Days - ¥12,000 per day
  • 7+ Days - ¥11,000 per day

Frame: VAAST A/1 Alloy Magnesium Frame with Carbon fork
Handlebar: Alloy Gravel Handlebars
Groupset: Groupset varies between bikes sizes. XS (SRAM RIVAL XPLR AXS), Medium (SRAM APEX Mechanical), Large (SRAM RIVAL XPLR AXS).

Wheelset: Carbon wheelset. Brand varies between bikes.

Optional Extras

You can book the following items to accompany your bike booking:

  • GPS Bike Computer - an optional accessory in the bike rental booking process
  • Guided Ride by an experienced local rider - can be booked here.
  • Bike Damage Cover for $30 per day - an optional accessory in the bike rental booking process

Pick up and delivery options

We are conveniently located just a 10min walk from Odowara train station which is just 26min on the bullet train from Tokyo Central Station.

Pick up and drop off times are either 9am or 4pm every day of the week.

We currently do not offer delivery to hotels in this location.

Insurance

Your bike is not covered by insurance which means if you damage the bike or its stolen this cost will need to be covered by you. 

A $500 security deposit will be held on your credit card to cover accidental damage to the bike.  We recommend taking out Bike Damage Protection for just $30 per day with us offering peace of mind by reducing your financial responsibility for any accidental damage to your rented bike. Should any damage occur while riding, your out-of-pocket cost is capped at $500.

This cover applies only to accidental damage to the rental bike and does not extend to lost or stolen bikes, third-party claims, or personal injury.

Bike Damage Protection is an option in the checkout process when you rent your bike.  When you are at the step to add accessories - scroll to the far right.

We strongly advise you to arrange your own 3rd Party Liability Cover with a reputable provider to cover claims that may arise in the event of an incident or injury involving a 3rd party covering all road users and pedestrians.

Cancellation & Refunds

Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

  • 30+ Days out - full refund
  • 7+ Days out - 80% refund or credit note full value
  • 48hrs+ out - 50% refund or credit note full value
  • Within 48 hours of rental - no refund
